If you live in a house or apartment, you have storage space for things you don't use - closets, dresser drawers, shelves. You likely don't even have room for all of your things and you may even have bins, boxes and bags of clothes and other items that you don't use every day, but don't want to throw away. Be honest, if your house was on fire and you had to run out and save yourself, how many of those things would you carry out with you? Probably very few. So, why keep clutter? Every single item you possess that you really don't use could be of service to someone else who needs it now. Take the time to make a list of all of your unused things.

Do you have old furniture, tables, lamps, chairs or rugs that no longer fit your decore, that you really would rather throw out and replace with something new? Put them o your SERVICE list!
Old pillows, sheets, shelving, dressers, things you may want to replace, may be valuable to someone who is on a modest income ,moving to a new apartment and needing furniture..
If you are one person and you have a large collection of dishes and silverware, unless you regularly throw large dinner parties, you probably never use most of these items. Others would value them.
Towels and wash cloths may line the shelves of your linen closet, but are rarely used if there are few people in your home. It's good to have extras for guests, but you may also have enough to share.
Desks, chairs, notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, pads, and many other office and work related supplies can easily accumulate over time. Someone, perhaps a student, could use them now.
Garden tools, brooms, rakes, shovels. old flower pots, and other items you are storing in your garage or shed may be just what someone else needs for their home. Add these to your SERVICE list.
